Dalmation Print

I'm currently obsessed with Dalmatian decor... I love this black and white print, it can be used as wallpaper, furnishings, artwork or for a more subtle touch used as cushions... I think it looks very glamorous and chic! Especially when teemed with gold, or pink..

Here are some inspirational ways to use it in your home... so far I've bought two Dalmatian print cushions but haven't worked out where to put them yet! Ill keep you posted about that one!

Tropical Paradise

Most of us aren't lucky enough to live in a tropical paradise, but that doesn't mean we cant make our home feel like we do! Decorating your home with a tropical feel creates a very relaxed fun and bright place, laid back and stress-free! and who doesn't want that! :)

You can bring real life tropical plants into your home or go for oversized tropical prints like banana leafs and greenery on wallpaper, fabric, cushion, bedheads, artwork.... the options are endless !

These fabulous larger-than-life prints are certainly make a statement. Just be sure that the other décor items in your room is kept subtle so it doesn't compete with this fabulous tropical theme.

Take some inspiration from these homes, they do the tropical theme with such confidence and they look great!

Wrap me up in Wallpaper!

Wallpaper has made a real resurgence recently, when you hear the word wallpaper, no longer do we think of the bad 70s or 80s wallpaper we may have grown up with ....now wallpaper is a huge design trend and not only are the patterns and colours limitless, but now you even have choices in the installation methods with the traditional glued on wallpaper or removable wallpaper, which is fantastic for renters, or those that don't want to commit to the decision to have permanent wallpaper for too long.

Check out these fabulous designs below, its great to see so many different styles I would have never thought would work but they absolutely do! Which do you like best?

I want one of each type but I don't have enough rooms in my house! They are all so beautiful and unique, each of them creates such a different space and vibe to the room...

I'm definitely adding them to my wishlist for my dream home :)

Emerald Green

That's me in the purple!

Little did I know back in the early 90's when I was helping my Mum and Dad paint their hallway emerald green that they were WAY ahead of their time in design flair.... ;p

As it turned out, the same colour was last year's Pantone Colour of the Year!

Every year Pantone surveys designers and suppliers about the colours they are featuring to help its decision in announcing what colour will be changing the landscape for the next 12 months.

Yes I know I am a bit behind the times because this is last years Pantone colour of the year... but I've seen it been used in such beautiful ways I really wanted to show some of its beauty in todays post.

I love this colour, it has a real universal quality that can create both a luxurious and a casual feel.  Depending on what it is teamed with in the room, it can be used for a modern or classic styled area.

Tell me what you think are you a lover of this colour? do you think itll stand the test of time?
I know my parents hallway is STILL emerald green today, twenty years on! :)
