The Block Glasshouse - Stair, Laundry & Powder Room reveals

Stairs, Laundry & Powder room were the reveals from Sunday nights The Block Glasshouse.  Lots of amazing design work and detail in each of the contestants areas made for another very busy week...

Have a look at the all the couples rooms below and see which you like best?

Here are the winners Michael & Carlene, I love their stair design with the matt black rod screening. Their Laundry/Powder Room was also my favourite with a very grand glam look especially in the marble  floor and wall tiles and flecks of metallics throughout the room.

The boys Shannon & Simon delivered a really sophisticated space this week, especially in the floating black stairs with the glass balustrade.  Their Laundry also had a lot of style with a simple yet practical layout. What do you think about their space?

Unfortunately Dee & Darren had another week full of drama and were unable to present their finished staircase until after reveals, this is the finished look below, a stylish classical stair with oak treads and beautiful black balustrade.

Their laundry/powder room was a beautiful design with their signature wall panelling and provincial style fittings and basins, and that all important glam with the beautiful copper pendant lights.

Max & Carsten delivered a beautiful stairwell that doubled as wine storage below.  They continued their polished concrete floors throughout and the rendered wall up the stairs also added to the industrial look of the apartment.

Their laundry/powder room was a simple and functional design, the judges thought it was too stark white but I liked it.  White never goes out of style.

Last but not least was Chris & Jenna, who created a void space above their stairwell.  I liked their industrial design but the judges felt it was too heavy with the black balustrade and black exposed steel. I guess we'll see what they buyers think when it comes to the auctions though, that will be the real test.

But their laundry/powder room I didn't like... it was a very strange joinery design with high storage either side of the basin, it seems to enclose the space in and looked as though it felt like a tight space...

They do an amazing job each week under pressure and stress, and they will never please everyone with the design choices... They have done a great job and the overall finish will be super exciting to see!!! only another 5 weeks to go!

What do you think about these spaces?
